The Basics

Digital distribution is the delivery or distribution of your digitalize master recording, with nearly zero cost, bypassing physical distribution methods. Digital distribution significantly lowered the cost of selling music products, and with the help of international music services, it’s much easier to publish and sell your music worldwide.
Anyone can sign up a Qport account for free. You can upload your music works to any digital services/stores you picked, and enjoy the full access to Qport’s services, including catalogue management, digital reporting, banking etc.

License Agreement for Digital Rights
You can choose this agreement type when meeting all the criteria below:

1. You own the complete rights in sound recording of all your tracks.
2. You own part of the rights in musical works of your tracks (not necessarily 100%).
*The amount of your share of royalties will be calculated by the ownership ratio of the copyrights in musical work which you provided at the Label Copy section. For example, if you owned 25% of the copyrights in musical works of a song, your share of royalties will be paid under that ratio.

License Agreement for Sound Recording
You can choose this agreement type when meeting all the criteria below:

1. You own the complete rights in sound recording of all your tracks.
2. You do not and will not own any parts of rights in musical work of all your tracks.
All agreements provided are all unified standard provisions aimed committed to maximizing digital revenue; if you want to learn more or further discuss the terms, or should you have any questions or special needs, please contact us directly.
Yes (although we don’t recommend it). However, you will need to opt out the stores/services you’ve picked to have Qport delivered your music to. Years of experience have taught us that in order to maximize your digital revenue, we suggest you to work with just one distributor as your digital representative, so that you can get full and comprehensive understandings on how your music is doing in the digital market. If you still decided to work with another digital distributor while you have a deal with us, please make sure you don’t “double-deliver” your work to us. This may cause the stores/services to produce 2 identical loyalty reports and having difficulties to make your royalty payment to us. We will have to take down your work from the stores/services and temporary suspend your authority to upload content via Qport until the problem is solved.

Asset Specs

You will need to have your digital mastering files, cover art, metadata, and release introduction, lyric files, and label copy ready before you submit your release vis Qport. Qport page will guide you through every step of submission process.
We’ve stopped deliver MP3 files to digital music services since 2014; we only accept uncompressed audio files. You should prepare the audio at least 44.1 khz/ 16bit / stereo/ in WAV format. If the source of your master starts in high resolution, we can help you deliver your release as Master for iTunes (MFiT). Please tell us in advance as our music engineers need to process the delivery specifications. The source for MFiT must be at least ≥44.1 kHz/24 bit. Please do not up-sample to achieve this.
You must provide at least one cover art for each release. Cover art must be at least 4000 x 4000 pixels JPEG or PNG file in RGB Color mode, minimum 72 dpi. Do not upload art that contains an embedded color profile, back cover or thumbnail art. For best results, deliver the largest pixel dimensions and highest resolution possible. Please also make sure the information on your cover art matches your release descriptions.
Album presentation materials will give each digital music service a better understanding of your work. We pitch for store features where possible. In order to do this we need a comprehensive press release and evidence of market presence (reviews, radio play, TV appearances and touring). Please email additional matierals to info@rockmobile.com , or combine all materials to just one Word file (.doc or .docx) and upload.
If you want to deliver your work to the services/stores in China, lyric file is a must. The files will not necessarily be used in the services; however, they will use the files to review whether the music contents involve any violence, religious thought and other sensitive subjects. We only accept lyrics files provided in .txt/.docx/.doc. format.
You always need to provide publishing information such as songwriters, lyricists, or the name of the publishers who represent the authors for each track, no matter what. Usually this information is included in the label copy.
